Kahawa Kijiko means "coffee spoon" in Swahili.
These tiny, intricate coffee scoops are hand-crafted out of olive wood and some of the handles are made using recycled bone or brass. The brass handle has a tree beautifully engraved into it. The wood is treated with food safe oils by the artisans. These items are handmade in Kibera slums, Kenya.
Cleaning and care instructions: Hand rinse with soapy water if required, and wipe dry. Do not put in dishwasher. Apply a food safe mineral oil or butter as needed to refresh and rehydrate.
Small Scoops are approx. 3.5-4" lengthwise
Due to their size and fragile nature, these items are not available for free shipping.
Our world changing fashion is all individually handcrafted, and therefore small imperfections, differences in shape, size and colour can happen and are part of the charm of a handmade product - reminding us an actual person made this item just for you.
